As manager Corporate Real-estate, I am responsible for the offices, staff quarters and ticket stores of the NS Holding, nation-wide. The span of my responsibility stretches from the real estate strategy tot the hard- and soft services nescessary to provide approximately 16.500 employees of NS a proper, cost-effictive workplace. This includes contract management, financial reporting, tendering, policy development and management of 25 professionals.

• Team size of 5, with a span of control of 25 (including subteams).

• Managed real-estate: 115.000 m² in ~200 locations.
• Budget: ~€29mio (OPEX) ~€10mio (CAPEX)

As project manager, I am responsible for the decission making process and the implementation of two reorganisations withing Service Stations (division of NS Operation, responsible for the service to passengers and other partners on the stations).

• Leading a reorganization with a reduction of approximately 300 FTEs.
• Closing 25 Ticket-offices
• Redesigning work methods, processes, and service formulas.
• Moving to a 24/7 operation where punctuality, safety, and passenger impact are crucial.
• Close collaboration with the Commercial, Station, and Operations departments.
• Managing decision-making, implementation, communication, and change management.

• Chairman of the young professional network: JongNS (until november 2019)
• Founder and Member of the board of FRIS (until December 2021): a new party that has multiple members in various employee participation councils of NS.
• Member of the Communication Committee of FRIS: responsible for the creation of all digital and printed expressions of FRIS.

As advisor at the department of Strategy & Innovation, I advise the board of directors and top-level management on long-term strategy of the NS-holding.

• Developing long-term strategies for NS as a broad mobility company.
• Coordinating NS's contributions to European innovation programs such as Shift2Rail (ERJU).
• Conducting strategic analyses and advising directors and senior management on innovation opportunities, investments, and improvement programs.
• Translating vision into concrete tools for departments, ensuring that strategy and implementation align.

As support consultant I'm part of the project BMI (Besturing Materieel Inzet). Together with my team we re-developed the control processes of treatment and maintenance of rolling stock at nodes in the Dutch railway network.

For my MSc. Thesis, I'm preforming a research on the impact and logistic processes of changes in infrastructure at Dutch Railways (NS).

Ricardo Rail is a global consultancy firm, providing technical expertise and specialist engineering services to help clients navigate the rail industry's operational, commercial and regulatory demands.

For my internship I'm doing a research on the knowledge available in the sector regarding vandalism in railway vehicles. The goal is to bundle the knowledge and to form the basis of a European standard.

The Transport Institute is part of the department of Corporate Communication of the TU Delft. Under the heading Transport Institute, researchers and students from different backgrounds at TU Delft are working together to identify solutions for transport related problems.

In the role as student assistant I facilitate interaction between different transport research groups by organizing master classes, lunch lectures and more. I also take care of the website of the Transport Institute, the quarterly newsletters and other communication from, to and within the Institute.

Startup Science organises, in collaboration with the TU Delft Science Centre, so called backstage tours. In these tours it is my job to give the participants an informative and fun campus tour to bridge the gap between science and society.

I started as lighting engineer, where I was responsible for the design and operation of the light show during music events with DJs and bands. Later I started working as bartender and the final year I worked as assistant manager, where I was head of the technical staff and helped the manager with operations and back-office affairs.
