As manager Corporate Real-estate, I am responsible for the offices, staff quarters and ticket stores of the NS Holding, nation-wide. The span of my responsibility stretches from the real estate strategy tot the hard- and soft services nescessary to provide approximately 16.500 employees of NS a proper, cost-effictive workplace. This includes contract management, financial reporting, tendering, policy development and management of 25 professionals.
Key figures of the portfolio:- Team size of 5, with a span of control of 25 (including subteams).
- Indirect management (via partners) of ~150 fte
- Managed real-estate: 115.000 m2 in ~200 locations.

Nederlandse Spoorwegen: Service & Operation

As project manager, I am responsible for the decission making process and the implementation of two reorganisations withing Service Stations (division of NS Operation, responsible for the service to passengers and other partners on the stations).
Elements of the project are:- Leading a reorganization with a reduction of approximately 300 FTEs.
- Closing 25 Ticket-offices
- Redesigning work methods, processes, and service formulas.
- Moving to a 24/7 operation where punctuality, safety, and passenger impact are crucial.
- Close collaboration with the Commercial, Station, and Operations departments.
- Managing decision-making, implementation, communication, and change management.
- Chairman of the young professional network: JongNS (until november 2019)
- Founder and Member of the board of FRIS (until December 2021): a new party that has multiple members in various employee participation councils of NS.

Ricardo Rail is a global consultancy firm, providing technical expertise and specialist engineering services to help clients navigate the rail industry's operational, commercial and regulatory demands.
For my internship I'm doing a research on the knowledge available in the sector regarding vandalism in railway vehicles. The goal is to bundle the knowledge and to form the basis of a European standard.

The Transport Institute is part of the department of Corporate Communication of the TU Delft. Under the heading Transport Institute, researchers and students from different backgrounds at TU Delft are working together to identify solutions for transport related problems.
